Monkey Cakes

My friend Alissa introduced this practically perfect toddler recipe to us. Her family calls them "Fairy Cakes". Tripp however, disagrees. "Fairies don't eat nanas. Monkeys do, siwwy Mama." So, we dubbed them "Monkey Cakes". Let me tell you, these work for grumpy toddler who won't eat every single time. They are great for a snack or for a meal. This is SO incredibly simple and easy which just really adds to the perfection.

Don't worry. His chai is decaf ;)

Monkey Cakes

Slice a banana and top with nut butter. You can always get more creative and sprinkle chopped nuts, dried fruit or drizzle honey over the "cakes" as well.
